Zoran Dobrosavljevic
Job title: Senior Consultant Engineer
Zoran is a Senior Consultant Engineer with an expertise in the area of broadband wireless communications and digital signal processing.
Zoran got his BSEE degree from the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia, in 1986. After graduation, he stayed with the Department of Telecommunications, first as an assistant and then as an assistant professor, teaching the subjects of telecommunications and digital signal processing. He got his MSc and PhD from the same school in 1990 and 1995, respectively, on the topic of channel equalisation in spread-spectrum communication systems.
Since 2001, Zoran has been with Roke Manor Research Limited, a Siemens company based in Romsey, UK, where he is employed as a senior consultant in the area of radio communications, digital signal processing and satellite navigation.
Over the last several years Zoran has participated in the range of projects related to EDGE, UMTS and WiMAX (IEEE 802.16d and 802.16e-2005) technologies. Since 2007, he has undertaken several studies for and provided consultancy to WiMAX Forum Regulatory Working Group on the issues of spectrum compatibility and coexistence.
Zoran has published more than 60 papers in professional publications and proceedings of conferences. He is a co-author of a textbook on digital signal processing and a co-author of a patent on fast acquisition architecture for broadband receivers.
