Harry Aldridge

Harry is Founder & CEO of Bluenowhere, an early stage WiMAX network operator. Bluenowhere is focusing on the municipal market, using WiMAX as a wholesale platform to serve business, local government, and niche vertical markets, with fixed and mobile broadband data services.

Harry also believes that, in addition to the municipal applications for WiMAX, that the technology has an important role to play in next generation broadband access, as an alternative wholesale platform in non-urban markets, extending the reach of today’s LLU bundled triple-play services where fibre roll-out is unviable.

Harry is currently leading Bluenowhere’s involvement in the Mobile WiMAX market trials being undertaken by the Mobile WiMAX Acceleration Group (M-WAG), an industry collaboration comprising 13 companies from across the WiMAX value chain, of which Bluenowhere is an executive member. Bluenowhere has worked with M-WAG to deploy the UK’s first 2.5GHz Mobile WiMAX network and is exploring the business case across multiple markets, including Public Safety, CCTV, Enterprise and Outside Broadcast, proving the open, multi-vendor, WiMAX ecosystem.
