Naeem Zamindar

Naeem Zamindar has been involved in building businesses as an entrepreneur, venture capitalist and is currently building a broadband business for one of the largest and most successful GSM operators in Asia – Mobilink.

Naeem was part of the start-up team responsible for setting up Mobilink, the first GSM mobile operator in Pakistan. 1 million subscribers was a pipe dream when Mobilink was launched only 14 years ago – and now it has grown to over 32 million subscribers. Naeem sees an even bigger opportunity with WiMax. Not only will Mobilink connect every Pakistani with mobile telephony, but it will bring them high speed internet to interactive TV, to deliver education, employment and entertainment opportunities, enriching their lives.

In-between his time at Mobilink (between 2000-2004), Naeem worked 23 venture capital investments at Intel Capital out of Santa Clara, CA, in sectors enabling the broadband economy.

He is also inspired by the vision of creating a more enlightened society. He volunteers his time as a teacher for the Art of Living Foundation (www.artofliving.org). The course he teaches eliminates stress from individuals for significant inner and outer transformation. These individuals then become the building blocks for a more enlightened society.

Naeem holds a MBA from INSEAD, was Certified as a Public Accountant from the State of Washington, and received a BBA from University of Texas at Austin.
