Stream A: Technical Solutions

14:00 Ensuring User Quality of Experience with WiMAX Networks

While the new WiMAX standards include Quality of Service aspects on the air interface, no end-to-end QoS mechanisms have been developed. As a result, the subscriber experience can be negatively affected by the core network, even with the highest priority settings on the radio link.
Only by expanding Policy Decision concept (as defined by ETSI TISPAN RACS and by 3GPP PCRF) to WiMAX networks can user Quality of Experienced be assured. In this presentation, Juniper Networks will explain how Policy Decision model should be applied to WiMAX and integrated with wireline, 3G, and 4G models to achieve real end-to-end network resource control and optimization.

Leonid Burakovsky, Director, Mobile and Convergence Solution Marketing, Juniper Networks EMEA
